3 Drills to Increase Players’ Speed

You can increase the speed of your players with proper training. Here are three drills that will make your players faster.

In the video below Michael Cano, of ONEighty Athletics, demonstrates three simple drill to increase the speed of your players.

The three drill are as follows:

1. Seated Arm Action: 2 sets x 15 Secs

2. Fast Claw Drill: 2 sets x 5 Each Leg 10 total

3. Wall Drills:

a.Single Exchange 2 sets x 5 Each Leg 10 total

b.Triple Exchange 2 sets x 4 Reps

    These exercises sound very effective as they seem to attack efficiency of motion. However the real proof of their effectiveness is in experimental measurements such as speed timing in sprints or agility courses. Is there any hard data with extensive before-and-after tests to see if these exercises really work and improve practical in-game speed?
